Rainy day - 20:49 BST April 15, 2006

Nine days, and nothing much to report in between those days apart from my father's arrival(He is staying here permanently now). Revision is going along all right.

So, it rained today, quite a fair bit. I was supposed to go for some badminton today, and yeah, I ended up spending an hour to travel to central London, only to find out that the sports centre is closed....

Oh well, there is nothing much that can be done about it.

Nothing else significant really, such a boring Easter. So I think I will write on something else now: Let us talk about.... life?!(Admittedly, I was inspired after reading what my friends have to say about it)

My worst nightmare ever: Life. There are loads of decisions to be made at a certain point. Year 2001 was a crucial one, and a big decision indeed. The time I have to say goodbye to my family, friends and my beloved home. The idea of being over six thousand miles away from home is not an easy thing to envisage.

Now, onto today, 2006. No real big decisions that I have to take since five years ago. Nonetheless, a lot has happened, such as the loss of both of my grandparents. I wished I was back there, being able to send them off myself at their time of departure. Nevermind....

I sometimes wonder what would have happened to me if I did not come over here and chose to continue studying back home. I can imagine myself going around the streets of KL(My most probable university destination) rather than London.

The reason why I chose to move over is simply because I wanted challenge. It was a real challenge indeed to be in a new world where everything seems to be different right from culture to food.

You cannot always see what future has in store for you. That is always a big fear within some of us. Same applies to me, I will never know what is there for me when the time comes. Personally, I have attempted to try to have a look into my own future, which I have failed horribly so far. So now, I adopt a different approach to this, which is to do well in whatever I am being thrown with and progress from there. In other words, take it in smaller steps rather than to see the far end. There is no real way you can see where you are going. As long as you have the will to move along the path you have chosen, there will always be something. No point attempting to stand still and see what is at the end of a seemingly endless path, when you can walk towards it right?

Speaking of which, I have to revise and take these exams on during May. I may win these battles, but the war never seem to end....

That is all, I hope I have not bored you to death by now.

Short April update - 12:49 BST April 06, 2006

A week and a half has gone since the start of holidays, nothing much has happened except for clubbing at CC club two nights ago. The clubbing was good, but it was kind of ruined in the last few minutes when a bloody fight happened. Unfortunately, due to lack of web space, I am unable to upload anymore photos, so, sorry.

That is all, very short update, but as you can see, I am very lazy to do anything nowadays.

End of term - 21:31 GMT March 25, 2006

Yesterday marked the end of the second term of this year. Nothing much really happened, except that we gathered at Waterfront until the evening. There are seven more weeks to go, and then I have my exams, and the after that, my second year ends. I just wonder how fast time flies. Either that, or I am unaware, and have been constantly wasting my time all the while.

Second year, second year, second year. It was quite a tough year towards the end, especially when the deadline for my group project drew closer and closer. I was so busy, busy to the point that I spent almost my last two weeks just on it.

Now that everything is over, all that is left is just exams. There is nothing much I can do now, and I do feel really bored. Probably having an early start to the revision might help to kill the boredom. Sad life indeed, but hey, I really do not have anything to do....

A good day out - 21:27 GMT March 16, 2006

Whoa, three days in a row and three new posts, I must be on a roll.... a hat trick perhaps?

Not really, just to probably make up the losses I had over the mid February till mid March. Besides, I feel like writing as well.

Anyway, let us not digress and onto what happened today. I went to Buddhapadipa temple at Wimbledon today with my brother, mother and my godmum, but the main temple was closed, so I could not get in there. But nonetheless it was rather quiet, and it was not surprising as today was a weekday.

After praying, we decided to go through the garden path to get back to the exit. The place is still the same, no changes since the last visit. There were some sign boards with idioms there, of which one of them gave me a reminder, and I might as well post it(somewhere along the lines of it, not exact quote) here to remind myself in the near future:

"A great warrior may conquer a thousand people in a battle, but he who conquers himself is a greater warrior."

That quote stood out from the other signboards there.

After the visit, we went to Chinatown and had lunch, and then got back home. My friend from secondary school gave me a call later in the evening, and I caught up with him on what has happened over the months.

Nothing else, quite tired but a satisfying day. Now if you excuse me, I have to continue to process the KCLMSS election data....
